RAD Protect — included on every trip

Every booking made through rentanddrive.net automatically includes RAD Protect at no additional charge to the renter. RAD Protect provides:

• Third-party liability coverage for bodily injury and property damage
• Physical damage protection for the host's vehicle during the rental period
• 24/7 roadside assistance including towing, flat tire service, and lockout assistance
• Coverage applies during the active rental period as defined in your booking confirmation

RAD Protect Plus — optional upgrade

Renters may purchase RAD Protect Plus at checkout for enhanced coverage limits and reduced deductible responsibility. Details of each tier are displayed during the booking flow before payment is collected.

RAD Shield — host income protection

RAD Shield is an optional income protection program available to RAD Certified hosts. When a vehicle is removed from service due to a covered renter-caused incident, RAD Shield pays the host a daily benefit while the vehicle is being repaired:

• Standard hosts: $75/day for verified repair days
• RAD Certified hosts: up to $150/day for verified repair days
• Requires a repair estimate from an approved facility within 72 hours of the incident
• Maximum benefit period: 30 days per incident

RAD Shield is not insurance. It is a contractual income protection benefit provided directly by Rent and Drive LLC.

Your personal auto insurance

Your personal auto insurance policy remains in effect at all times. Many standard personal auto policies contain exclusions for vehicles used in peer-to-peer rental or commercial activity. RAD Protect is designed to fill these gaps during active rental periods.

Hosts are strongly encouraged to review their personal policy with their insurance provider before listing a vehicle. RAD recommends Roamly — an insurance platform specifically designed for vehicle hosts. Visit roamly.com to learn more.

Nevada state requirements

All trips originating in Nevada are subject to minimum liability coverage requirements under Nevada Revised Statutes. RAD Protect satisfies Nevada's minimum statutory liability requirements on all active bookings made through rentanddrive.net.

Filing a claim

To report an incident or file a claim:

• Document all damage with dated photos before moving the vehicle
• File within 24 hours of the incident for full coverage consideration

What is not covered

• Damage caused by driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Intentional damage or fraud
• Use of the vehicle outside the approved geographic area
• Mechanical breakdown unrelated to a covered incident
• Personal property inside the vehicle
• Incidents not reported within the required timeframe

Dispute resolution
